Water Unites Us!
The Boulder-area Brewshed®️ aims to engage around water conservation and headwater stewardship responsibility. This group is made up of water resources, beer brewing professionals, and tap houses with a mission to educate citizens about watershed impacts and conservation actions in order to activate citizens in their role as conscientious caretakers for water protection and quality enhancement.
EDUCATION + CONNECTION
Some of the resources and approaches utilized for engagement:
Educational events at breweries and tap houses, such as “Liquid Lectures”
Educational resources such as posters, coasters, and QR codes to sustainability actions, events, and suggestions
Creating special beers/drinks with forested watershed themes and ingredients that offer a percentage of each sold to be directed to sustainability initiatives
Riverside or creekside events paired with clean-up components/actions
Amplifying the good work being done in the area and encouraging commitment to engagement and partnerships

As our climate changes, populations grow, and ecosystems shift, it is crucial that we learn from innovative strategies and impactful solutions to protect and preserve our vital headwater system.
