FIRE ADAPTED COMMUNITIES
Boulder Watershed Collective’s Fire Adapted Communities (FAC) Coordination builds community capacity for wildfire mitigation and resilience by supporting neighborhoods at different stages of readiness. Through coordination, relationship-building, and facilitation, this work helps communities develop shared understanding of wildfire risk, strengthen connections among residents and agencies, and identify practical pathways toward strong preparedness and response actions.
A wide variety of general preparedness information can be found here.

We acknowledge and appreciate that our project areas are on land within the territories of the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapaho people. Further, we acknowledge that 48 contemporary tribal nations have been connected for centuries to the lands that make up the state of Colorado and many are still here today.
