Join us for an evening screening an award-winning PBS documentary Peaks to Prairie: A Holistic Regenerative Approach followed up by a Q&A with the filmmaker, lead researcher, partnering forest and grassland stewards and Open Space and Mountain Parks Agricultural Staff. This short film follows an innovative restoration effort that uses wood waste from forest mitigation projects, fungi, grazing cattle, and soil science to restore degraded agricultural grasslands and rebuild soil health. 

Together, we’ll explore how modern restoration practices build upon age-old ecological relationships—where fungi, microbes, plants, animals, and people all play a role in the health of the land. 

Doors to the Canyon Theater will open at 5:00 pm.  Presenters will be available to visit with guests from 5:00 to 5:30 pm in the Canyon Gallery (north side of the library at the theater entrance).  Film screening will start at 5:30 pm with Q&A afterwards.
